Monrovia Community Garden Grant!

Monrovia Community Garden Grant!

We are proud to announce that we have awarded a $10,000 garden grant on behalf of the Monrovia Street Fair & Market to Food Ed for their outstanding work in creating an incredible community garden! Join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this wonderful addition to our community & learn more!

The City of Monrovia is thrilled to be partnering with Food Exploration and Discovery, the Mrs. Meyers Company, and Raw Inspiration to open our second Community Garden! This new garden is located at Station Square Park and will serve the residents in the transit oriented community. With hundreds of new hi-density housing units under development, access to green space to grow fresh fruits and vegetables may be limited. By having a space where residents can rent a garden bed or participate in communal gardening, we will build community as well as further educate our residents on sustainable practices.

Please join us on Saturday, September 7 at 9am at Monrovia’s Community Garden South for a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate our partnership and the new Garden! Free parking is available in the designated spots in the Metro Parking Lot on the 2nd or 3rd floors.

Following the ceremony, we invite you all to shop at the Monrovia Farmers Market, also at Station Square, until 2pm!

Where: 1650 S. Magnolia Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016
When: September 7 at 9 am
Parking: Free parking available in designated areas only 2nd floor & 3rd floor of Metro parking garage.
